Air Hydro Power acquires Louisville Metal Hose

Info on Louisville Metal Hose?

Air Hydro Power announces the acquisition of the assets of Louisville Metal Hose (LMH), a Louisville, Ky based fabricating distributor specializing in Braided Metal, Chlorine, Teflon, Composite, Powder, and Pellet Hose assemblies and industrial belting. LMH has 22 employees, and services the Kentucky and Indiana markets. Both of the owners of LMH, Greg Caldwell and Jerry Scott will continue on with Air Hydro Power, as will all LMH employees. LMH primary customers are in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Primary Metal areas.

Air Hydro Power (AHP) is an Industrial Distributor of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motion Control, High Tech electrical components and Hose and Fittings, and is the largest privately held company of this type in Kentucky.  AHP has over 4000 customers. Their Corporate Headquarters is 2550 Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville, where Premier Hydraulics Services is also located.  AHP has additional locations in Lexington, Elizabethtown, Henderson and a second Louisville location on Poplar Level Road.  All AHP locations have Parker Stores; retail locations that offer fabrication of hydraulic hose assemblies while you wait. Air Hydro Power and Premier Hydraulic Services are owned by Dick Beaven, Matt Ott, and Tom McGuire.  With this acquisition, there will be 123 employees between LMH, AHP and PHS.

The AHP owners commented on the acquisition:  “LMH is an excellent addition to Air Hydro Power.  They have extremely talented people, and have products and services that go together with our current product offerings.  Current markets and customers served by LMH will also be excellent areas for our existing product lines to sustain growth.” commented Tom McGuire.  Matt Ott stated “the acquisition of LMH complements the existing AHP operations, and should fold nicely into the existing AHP infrastructure”.  “Market share growth is the name of the game, since the manufacturing base is diminishing. The LMH acquisition will make AHP one of the largest, if not the largest industrial and hydraulic hose and fitting suppliers in this region” commented Dick Beaven.

Greg Caldwell, President of LMH stated by joining forces with Air Hydro Power, LMH will be allowed to grow much faster due to the 5 Parker Store Locations that Air Hydro Power have located throughout Kentucky. “This is a strategic move to not only grow with our existing customer base, but with also the 4000 plus customers of Air Hydro Power with our product and service offerings.”  Jerry Scott, co owner of LMH, commented that “AHP and LMH have always been friendly competitors, and  the joining of our forces will allow us to offer even more value added services to our existing LMH customer base as well as offer those customers additional product lines from the AHP line card.”
